SSSD Athletics and Activity Guidelines
-
Due to federal requirements, all students and staff must wear a mask on the school bus.
-
Masks must be worn inside all school facilities at all times except when athletes and coaches are actively involved in practice or play. Masking must occur in locker rooms, hallways, meeting rooms, etc (This standard will also apply to away events).
-
Masks are not required outdoors.
-
Spectators will wear masks in all school facilities at all times.
-
When visiting other schools spectators will adhere to the host schools protocols and procedures.
-
Athletes, spectators and coaches are asked to self-monitor prior to attending practice or contests. This would include doing a temperature check and checking for any other symptoms, e.g., fatigue, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle aches, headache, loss of taste or smell. Anyone who has symptoms must stay home and not attend SSSD events.
-
Vaccinations
-
The district will continue to work collaboratively with the county and public health to coordinate and collaborate on opportunities for members of the school district community to receive a vaccine.
-
Isolation
-
Any SSSD student or staff member who tests positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, is required to isolate at home for 10 days before returning to school or work to prevent transmission to others. SSSD will continue to work with Routt County Public Health on positive cases to determine quarantine impacts.
-
Quarantine
-
We will work closely with public health on positive COVID cases in our school communities and related to exposure, testing, and quarantines for staff and students.
