Hi Nordic Team,
Happy Sunday! Here is our plan for this first week of voluntary dryland workouts. I understand there is a Cross Country Banquet that may conflict with this schedule, and really, many of you need a break between two sports seasons, attendance is not required, but I am ready to get started so join us if and when you can!
Tuesday: 4:00-5:15 at SSHS. Meet at the athletic entrance. Please bring a water bottle and we'll do some medicine ball work, agility and some light cardio.
Thursday: 4:00-5:15 at SSHS. Meet at the athletic entrance. If it's not downpouring rain we're OUTSIDE for :30 minute run or striding with poles (classic length). If it's snowing, we ARE going to run outside, so dress accordingly. Dress as if you're going out cross country skiing. If you're not a runner, that's fine we will have an alternative plan. We will finish up the workout with a medicine ball/plyometric workout inside.
Saturday: TBD. If there is no snow up high and skiing is not good at Bruces, we will meet at a yet to be determined location for a ski-bounding and plyometrics workout, most likely Howelsen Hill or blackmere drive. I will email this location by Thursday, weather dependent!
Ski EquipmentI am planning on getting into the school on Monday morning and going through all the ski equipment to see what I can fulfill for the kids in need of skis! Hopefully we can get everyone equipment over the next two weeks.
