We had a great week as we kicked off the regular season. The week began with a strenuous journey up Emerald Mountain to the quarry. All while carrying two trees. The boys were great and had good takeaways that will parallel the season ahead: Challenge, perseverance, communication, teamwork, dealing with chaos, struggle, and accomplishment. All of these areas we will look to tackle with our 3 pillars in the forefront of our minds.

Opening Games at Centaurus
For the Varsity, we lost a tight one to a very good Centaurus team. We noted our need to be more resilient, more positive, and more respectful when things don’t go our way. We know we can do better on this front, and the players understand this as well. Our goal is to lose with as much class as which we have when we win! As with most areas, this is a learned skill and we will continue to focus on the development of this arena.
The JV team also had a great week of practice. The awesome energy that the large freshman class is bringing to practice each day is evident and spreads to others on the JV team. Versus Centaurus, we were up against a very big, physical, and talented side. But our guys kept grinding, playing some of our best soccer over the final 10 minutes and the chemistry within that team really shined – it was one example after the next of guys picking each other up.
Practice Schedule - starting this week all practices will be in the afternoon. Please click on each time slot to confirm the location as some WED/THURS practices will be at the middle school. Also, note that starting this week will we hold a leadesrship session that we will do weekly or bi-weekly:
